How’s it going? It’s Derek Lau with the July, 2021 aideM Media Minute. I hope you’re having a great summer. I hope you’re getting out and enjoying yourselves. We’re working on some cool projects. We’re staying cool here in the office doing a lot of editing, but we’re also out shooting as well.
One thing that changed as far as people’s habits and things like that with the pandemic last year was a lot of people were staying in and not going out on vacations and not going out as much. A result of that was people spending more money on their home and improving their home. We partnered with Superior Plastic and Key-Link Fence on some videos about how you can improve your backyard and how you can improve your patio out back of your house. It’s a pretty cool video. It’s an installation video so that our contractors and their customers can install the product properly and it looks its best.
Another project that I’m sure you probably have heard about already but we’re still shooting on, no pun intended, is the feature film that we’re working on called, One Gun. We’ve been working down in Philadelphia shooting this wonderful script that was written by Thomas Overton and produced by Donnell Regusters and Mark Brooks. We’ve done short films before and we’ve done lots of commercials and all kinds of other video production, but a feature film is a dedication of time. There’s a great cast involved. There’s a great crew. I can’t wait to share this movie with you when it’s all done.
With the Olympics coming up, we want to tell you about a broadcast TV spot you might be seeing while you’re watching the Olympics. It’s for Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster. It’s called, Caring For the Community. We actually started this commercial early fall, late summer last year, but it got delayed because of some of the restrictions put down in the wintertime. This has been a project we’ve been working on technically for a long time and I’m excited to share it with you. When you’re watching the Olympics this year rooting for the red, white, and blue, keep an eye out for that commercial. I hope you enjoy it. It was a really fun one to work on.
